Each year one of the elementary schools has bought mulch to spread around the play set for the students to play on, the school has reached out to the community in the past getting enough volunteers to do the work. This year Team 1073 stepped up and offered some student and mentor volunteers. The 9 students and mentors were able to spread 7 tons of mulch in under 40 minutes, One of the old playground areas needed some weeding and these students and mentors cleaned it out. That all happened in just 3 hours on Tuesday, the team has another volunteer session on Thursday to help with some other tasks.
